Casa Montessori is a Montessori day nursery with a strong ethos of sustainability and nature education, in central Edinburgh, Scotland and open all year.

Casa provides in-house Montessori training and places emphasis on building collaborative teams that support well-being and professional learning. We are commited to advocating for early years educators through agency and freedom, and respectful pay rates for all staff. We are also a Living Wage company.

We currently have vacancies for the following roles:

Manager

 

with a Scottish practice qualification at Level 9 or beyond and a minimum of 5 year's experience running a Scottish nursery. You will be confident representing the nursery to, and knowledgeable in the with the requirements of the regulatory bodies. Commitment to Casa Montessori's ethos and team values are vital for this post. Prior experience with specialist pedagogies would be a plus. You will be an organised, pro-active and resourceful and able to manage a team of 18 staff and trainees. This position is not currently open but we would be interested in hearing from candidates.

Montessori Lead Guide

 

with a recognised Montessori certification (AMI preferred) and a minimum of 3 year's experience giving you confidence supporting your key children's holistic development by creating outdoor and indoor learning environments. You will have experience as a team leader, and a coaching disposition that is conducive to promoting unity of practice in the team , including with trainees for whom you may act as mentor/coach. This position is not currently open but we would be interested in hearing from candidates.

Montessori Guide at 3-6 level

 

with a recognised Montessori certification (AMI preferred) and a minimum of 1 year's experience in a Montessori setting. You will be capable of teaching in a diverse team as well as confident to support your key children's holistic development, for collaborating on the learning environments indoors and outdoors. You will have a track record of leading your own learning and an interest in supporting adult learning. This position is not currently open but we would be interested in hearing from candidates.

Under-3s Specialists

 

with a Childcare practice qualification and a minimum of 1 year's experience with the relevant age group, as well as possessing or willing to complete a Montessori certification. You will be organised with your time, with children's schedules and day to day matters, an excellent communicator, a positive, creative thinker, and a committed advocate of children's holistic development, rights and freedoms. This position is not currently open but we would be interested in hearing from candidates.

Montessori Trainees

 

with a minimum of 3 months experience with under-5s and either enrolled on course leading to a practice qualification or Montessori certification, or enrolled on our Montessori Professional Specialism course. You will take on a paid role in the nursery while working with a mentor to develop your practice as a Montessori Guide. This position is not currently open but we would be interested in hearing from candidates.
